March 7th, Emily's 9th Birthday Party

The high today was a sunny,  windy 47F.

This year Emily's birthday was at Zap Zone.  She picked the Trampolines and Laser Tag in addition to arcade time.

I had to pick the cake on my own, but felt fairly confident since she chose unicorns as her number one pick for her school cupcakes. = )

I didn't end up taking many pictures of them jumping, and only managed a few that weren't solid blurs.  Since I was planning on playing laser tag, and was unsure of the locker situation, I didn't bring my big camera, so all of my pictures were taken with my phone.

After jumping we returned to the room for pizza!

It didn't take long to eat, and then it was off to laser tag!  Billy, Avia, Scott and I all played too so we did adults versus kids.

There were two other participants (a dad and his boy) who played on the adult team.  The adults won, by quite a bit.  But it was really fun for everyone. = )  I labelled all the players that I could remember, or ask.

After laser tag we dashed back to the room, but had to eat the cake in a mad dash (and tiny pieces,) because they had a party coming in right after us!

We claimed another table so that the kids could spend their tokens, since we hadn't really had any time since the start of the party!

Everyone took a little something home, and sadly we left with way more cake than usual, but I think everyone enjoyed the party!

Emily had to open her gifts at home, and was delighted with everything.  Her doll Coral is now well outfitted! ; )  She even started writing her thank yous!

Grace was invited to spend the night with Avia at Aunt Rocky's, since Juliet had the night before.  This messed with our usual Friday night shot schedule, so we were waiting for Saturday.  Once I realized that I'd missed Grace's shot, I called my mom to meet up.  On my way home, I stopped and picked up Wendy's for dinner.

We attempted to go to bed "early" in anticipation of the time change, and woke up a little early, but Monday is still going to be tough.

William's 7th Birthday Party

At Emily's birthday at District 5 there was one trampoline that only 7 years old and up were allowed to use.  So, for the past 8 months, William has been steadfast in requesting district 5 as his birthday destination.  So, we waited until the weekend following his birthday so that he would be 7 during his party.

This year was a ninja turtle theme.  = )

Emily helped make some boxes for the favors.

William, about to jump on the much awaited trampoline!

He loved it!

He invited Abby, big Em and Aubrey, his friend from TK Nick, and another one of his classmates who was not able to join him. Aunt Rocky was also on his list of invitees.  I think he had a blast with all of them though!

That translucent blur is Alice:

Oh no, they're gonna fall...

And so they did.

At home, the magnet set was a favorite among everyone . = )

Happy Birthday William!

Alice's 10th Birthday Party

After using some of the coupons from the summer reading program at Zap Zone this summer, Alice decided to have her birthday there.  Since she is a summer baby, her invitations this year were literally just text messages to her classmates that I had phone numbers for. = 0

We took two cars, so that Billy could pickup her cake while we set up and met all the guests.  Not that there was much set up, they take care of just about everything.

Once all of the guests arrived, and everyone said hello again after a long summer apart...

… we headed over to the bounce area.  They didn't even wait for the trampolines, they were so excited to jump!

Then it was back to the room for pizza and cake!

For her second attraction, she picked the virtual reality station.  They had to go in groups of 3 or fewer.  She picked Willow and Osage for her group.

While waiting for their turns, the other party goers spent some time out in the arcade.

Emily, Abby and Juliet were next in the VR area.

Big Em and Grace were next.

And then William and Aubrey rounded out the party as the final group.

Since back to school was on the brain, Alice's parting treats were school supplies. = )

Almost everyone gave her Robux, and she was thrilled.

Her final night as a nine year old:

Celebrating our new 10 year old!

We love our Alice, and she is turning into such an awesome person!
