William Answers His Birthday Survey: 10-years-old

Well, it hasn't yet been a month since his special day, so I've got that going for me!

When I was little, I used to: snuggle up with a book
My favorite season is: Spooky Halloween
The food I like most is: BBQ sandwiches
One food I really don't like is: chicken noodle soup
My best friend is: Riley
For my birthday I want to: go to Zap Zone, again
My best memory is: going to the trampoline park

I still typed them up this year, but didn't encourage him to do so, because it is time for us to start getting ready for bed, and this is my last post of the night. ; )

William's 10th Birthday!

William turned 10 this year!!!!!

I asked his teacher if he could bring in cupcakes on the day before his birthday, which just happened to fall on a Friday!  So, Thursday night, we set out to make 48 cupcakes, as well as his birthday cake, that we would eat for breakfast the next morning.  I skimmed a bit of the batter off of the cake portion to make a few extra cupcakes, so that we could each enjoy one the night that I made the ones for his class.

I hadn't planned on putting any decorations on his cupcakes, but he requested rings, which of course I made happen.  (They are donuts, if you can't really see from the picture.)  We also placed umbrellas on the yellow cake cupcakes.

To celebrate our boy a little more, we went to Zap Zone, just as a family, and spent a few hours doing fun things!!

A few days later, he got a very fancy gift from the Helterbrands!!!!

I hope our favorite 10-year-old had a great day and has an awesome 11th year!

Emily Answers Her Birthday Survey: 10 years old

Emily answered her questions today, the day after her birthday.  = )

When I was little, I used to: sing happy birthday to myself with the others
My favorite season is: spring summer and winter
The food I like most is: potatoes
One food I really don't like is: white spotted cheese

My best memory is: with my friends and family.

I seemed to have dropped the ball in 2020 and don't have birthday surveys for Alice (11) or William (8!)

Emily's 10th Birthday!

 We celebrated having 10 years of Emily smiles yesterday!

Avia came over and we had cake for breakfast.  She also brought donuts and ice cream, so we were sugared up for the day.

After school ended, she was excited to open her gifts.  And as a bonus excitement, her BFF Abby stopped by with a gift bag full of goodies! 

I think she had a pretty awesome day, and we were happy to celebrate with our favorite, freshly minted, ten year old.

Alice's 10th Birthday Party

After using some of the coupons from the summer reading program at Zap Zone this summer, Alice decided to have her birthday there.  Since she is a summer baby, her invitations this year were literally just text messages to her classmates that I had phone numbers for. = 0

We took two cars, so that Billy could pickup her cake while we set up and met all the guests.  Not that there was much set up, they take care of just about everything.

Once all of the guests arrived, and everyone said hello again after a long summer apart...

… we headed over to the bounce area.  They didn't even wait for the trampolines, they were so excited to jump!

Then it was back to the room for pizza and cake!

For her second attraction, she picked the virtual reality station.  They had to go in groups of 3 or fewer.  She picked Willow and Osage for her group.

While waiting for their turns, the other party goers spent some time out in the arcade.

Emily, Abby and Juliet were next in the VR area.

Big Em and Grace were next.

And then William and Aubrey rounded out the party as the final group.

Since back to school was on the brain, Alice's parting treats were school supplies. = )

Almost everyone gave her Robux, and she was thrilled.

We are several days past Alice's decade celebration, but today we completed her birthday survey! (After she finished her "lots of things" that she was doing on her computer.)
