31st May, 79th Day of Quarantine

The high today was a brutally cold 64F.

I finished the masks for my friend, ran some copies, printed some pages, wrote some letters.

The kids played outside to help with bedtime.

I read some of my book, and also read how to use the German with Miss Mason and Francois.  So, I'm excited about the foreign language aspect of the fall now too. = )

For dinner I made stew in the slow cooker.  It was well received.

Everything is ready for tomorrow morning, and Sarah and I have an appointment at a different thrift shop at 10am.

Tomorrow marks the final week of instruction for my littles ones, and we are all ready for summer break!

And, after 5 months of daily updates, this will be my final intentional daily entry.  I'll continue to log the temperature and daily dinner choices, but I'll be switching to a weekly format for the rest of the year.

30th May, 78th Day of Quarantine

The expected high today is 65F.  It was chilly inside our house this morning with all the windows left open overnight.

After putting in times for the kids summer reading logs, I found myself jealous of all the time they are forced get to read every week, so I spent my day reading Book 1 of the Witcher series.

We watched the first rocket launch from American soil in William and the twins' lifetimes!  Alice and Emily don't remember the last time (in 2011) so they were really excited to see history being made!

Billy ventured out and bought us Wendy's for dinner.

We (except Billy & Alice) watched Finding Dory.  Somehow I'd not seen that one, but now I have!  I spilled water behind the dresser, so Billy had to pull it out (for the first time since we moved in.) Naturally I cleaned everything out, in addition to the ice water mess.

One of my friends requested some masks for her daughter's first communion, so as my final evening activity I cut the fabric for all the masks, and finished her daughter's (just in case something crazy happens, I figure hers is the most important should I fail to finish tomorrow.)

I got in a few project pieces to help organize our supplies for the fall, but that will be a project for another day.  (The timeline is a little longer than the week window I have for the masks.) ; )

A good day, but I'm pretty tired considering I was far less productive than yesterday.

29th May, 77th Day of Quarantine, 47th Day of School at Home

The high today was 69F, but it was a very rainy morning and a very chilly day.

The kids had some small tasks to knock out in their google classrooms, but it was a pretty easy morning.

I took out three big projects (and of course the usual chores.)

The first thing I finished was assembling teacher gifts!  Since thrift stores, garage sales, and leisure shopping have been non-existent the last few months, I put in only what I had already gathered for them before the lock down.

I had each child draw a picture to present, and of course the staple embroidered handwriting zipper pouch. = )

All tagged and ready to go! I plan on dropping them off when we return library books and pick up 'leftover' supplies.

My second task was to make "not wolf lodge" shirts for the kids to color when we celebrate "not going" to great wolf lodge. = (  I'm doing everything I can to make it a memorable at home experience.

When I bought the markers and the iron on vinyl (back in February) I was planning on making matching shirts that we could wear on our trip.  And one of the 'in room' activities was going to be coloring them.  = (

I was impressed with how easy it was to cut, weed & iron this vinyl!  Hopefully it stays put for more than just the initial day of wear.  The shirts are still from the box my mom scored at a thrift store years ago.

And, the most exciting of accomplishments: I finished my 150 continuing education hours to renew my texas teaching license (in 2023.)  I'm so happy to not have this hanging over my head any longer!  I'm actually at 162 (and 172 if you count the lesson that hasn't yet been graded!)  Whew.

It was also a mowing day, since Sarah came last Thursday, and it turned into a sunny day, despite the cold, wet morning.

For dinner we had tortellini alfredo and strawberries. = )

We finished the day with Kim Possible and Bueno Nachos.

It was a productive day, and I am glad to have so many tasks off my long term to do list!

28th May, 76th Day of Quarantine, 46th Day of School at Home

The high today was a warm (and wet) 74F.

William had a morning and afternoon meeting with groups of his class today.  The three younger ones were up and working diligently and finished most everything before I went up to the MOPS end of year drive thru at the church.

It was nice to see everyone and say goodbye at the "party."

From there, I sent Sarah a text letting her know that I was on my way up to our thrift appointment.  Sadly, she wasn't able to come with me, since work called her back in.

I was happily able to donate my massive pile, before shopping.

I spent an hour and a half pouring through all of their books.  I did find (2 copies) of one of the books on our homeschool list! And, bought a few extra. ; )

My appointment was only supposed to last an hour and a half, but the group after me was not full, so I was able to stay and peruse the other wares too.  I found lots of things for our homeschool classroom this fall, and Emily requested some toys, so I bought a little something for everyone.  = )

I went through a very lengthy Chick-fil-a drive thru line to bring home a late lunch/early dinner for my crew.

Since I didn't get much of my certification done this morning, I worked on it some this afternoon.  Once I got all of my purchases, gifts, and Sarah's discarded pantry items relocated.

We had our weekly parent meeting night for Alice's class. They are getting shorter and shorter, just like the school year.  Not much time left at all!

For a short week, it sure has felt long!

27th May, 75th Day of Quarantine, 45th Day of School at Home

Today the expected high was 86F.

I woke up with my alarm this morning (for the first time in over a week!) but was up and working on my certification nice and early.

Alice, Grace and Juliet had video meetings today.  William had a hard time getting started on one of his end of year assessments, so he ended up working in the (dry) tub as a way to get his brain in gear.

Once all the school work was finished, we went back to the park and played in the river.

I was not thrilled with them getting soaked, but showers at home went pretty quickly.

For dinner we had barbeque sandwiches and grapes. It's a William favorite, the rest of us are kind of over it. But, the person who needs the weight has more sway on the menu than the rest of us.

I poured through some more of the materials for the fall, but I still have a long way to go before I feel "ready." Having all the books and materials will help me feel better I think.

I made an appointment with a thrift store for some shopping tomorrow.  I forgot to ask if they were able to accept donations, so I packed up my car, just in case. ; )

Hoping for a smooth morning tomorrow so that I can get out the door for my mops event and then distance shopping with Sarah!

26th May, 74th Day of Quarantine, 44th Day of School at Home

The expected high today was a respectable 89F!

Before starting school the twins wanted their hair to be matchy-matchy and Alice wanted to be in the picture too. = )

School work moved slowly. Billy had several meetings.  I worked on more certification classes.  True to form, the day after a holiday is hard to get back to work!

For second recess, we walked down to the park, and the kids waded in the high river!

I also got in another round of books and I'm so excited that my printed manuals arrived today too!  Just in time to sit on the front porch and pour through them in the lovely warm weather. = )

For dinner we had teriyaki chicken and rice.

It was finally enjoyable to sit out on the patio after dinner and enjoy the evening on the front porch!

May 25th, 73rd Day of Quarantine, Memorial Day

The high today was 87F.  It was also the first day this year that I heard a Michigander complain about it being hot (and it was only 78F this morning when I heard it.)

I woke up around 6:30, and got started on my trainings not too much later.  Emily and William practically followed me down, but were happy to have nothing to do for school.

Grace really likes Emily's scrunchies, so much so, that she put in as many as her hair could hold.

Sarah came by to drop off some of her finds for our schooling next year, and grab the recycling and other things I had waiting for her.

Once she left I went to pickup the groceries. I was early enough today (since I wasn't fighting children to get one more thin done before I left) that I got gas before the groceries!

The groceries did not take long to stash away, and the kids snatched up the lunchables for lunch.

For afternoon recess all of the kids played out with the water toy!

Once Billy got to a stopping point in his engineering today, I convinced him to help me clean out the shed.  We didn't get rid of much, mostly leftover relics from our boat plug booths. The shed does look much cleaner and better now though!

William's teacher came by and dropped off a sweet little gift for him.  It was so hard to see her and talk to her and not give hugs!  I am so sad about the twins missing out on her lovely class next year, seeing her just made me cry.  Emily didn't understand why we made each other cry as she left.

For dinner we had chicken faijitas.

After saying that I needed to for the last 24 hours, I finally got the ice maker in the basement ready to go!

A thunderstorm blew through making Alice all kinds of nervous, and cooling things back off.  We are expecting rain for the next few days, but had no plans to go out anyhow.

May 24th, 72nd Day of Quarantine

The high today was a beautiful sunny 86F!

We enjoyed the 9am service this morning, followed by the kids sermon at 10:30.  The kids enjoyed the packets from my mom's church.  The twins made a parade once they finished their banners.

I tried out a new plant identifying app, and it is pretty cool!  I think we will do our best with the field guides, and use them until we get stumped. = )

Emily and Grace set up the slip and slide, and today was supposed to be our first "go outside and play so that you are tired on Sunday night" but it was a weekend.  I was going to skip it, but decided to enforce it.  I was glad I did, as all 5 of them ended up in swimsuits, playing in the water. = )

I spent a good portion of the day on the front porch previewing and notating our nature studies book for this fall.  I made a list of things that I need to acquire.  I also tracked down things that I thought we might still have, if they survived my konmari a few years back. = )  Once of the things was a brick.  I had found several partial bricks in part of the 'wild' in our back yard, but could not picture a full brick.  After scouring the basement with a flash

I also decided that the kids could start working in their nature journals this summer as part of their daily summer chart.

Billy sat out there with me and worked on engineering things on his laptop.
Once I finished with the nature studies, I pulled out the since list, and gathered anything that we already had.  I made a list of the recycling we will need to keep, and the items we might be able to get a dollar tree.  There are a few items that a thrift store would be my go-to, but I have no clue when those will be opening back up. = /  And once they do, I don't know if I will go.  Certainly not with all 5 kids.

For dinner I heated up whatever leftovers I could find, no one seemed particularly hungry after a day of snacking.

I don't know how Billy managed to keep going all day, but it is time for bed and he is still out there working!

23rd May, 71st Day of Quarantine

We made it! Today the high was 76F.  It was overcast, but finally warm enough for my skirts to make a debut!

At 10:30, we headed to a new park, to put our field guides to work!

For lunch Billy grilled out some burgers.

Billy and I burned a few sticks in the fire pit, then sat out on the porch enjoying the first warm evening of the year!

For dinner I reheated the burgers that the kids hadn't eaten for lunch = )

I'm so happy for the sunshine and warm!

Delta Lake, Inaugural Field Guide Trip!

Our field guides for next year arrived Thursday, much earlier than the expected Sunday arrival.  We were so excited to go explore and see what we could see that we headed out the door at 10:30 am on a Saturday (lol) to go put them to use!

We went to Delta Lake, which just had a trail around the perimeter.  We saw several fishermen there, so it must be good fishing.  No swimming or wading is allowed, which was good since we weren't really prepared to do either.

If you happen to read this and we got something wrong, I would be much obliged for a correction, so that we can learn and do better next time!

Our first specimen we failed to identify.  It grew at least 6 feet, so we were able to eliminate several shrubs, but not identify this particular one.

Our next specimen was a bird.  William was able to identify it as an American Robin, which just happens to be the Michigan state bird!

Our third specimen we were able to identify as Common Chokecherry.

Whenever we would encounter a 'beach' clearing the kids would toss rocks into the lake.

This was another one of our unidentified specimens.

They found a baby rolly polly!

This specimen we identified as a northern white cedar.  This guy was tiny though, but will apparently grow up to 70ft!

Alice was the one with the correct guide and first visual on a frog.  She identified it as a Bull Frog on site, but revised her designation as a Northern Leopard frog when we got home and reviewed the picture.

Once the frog realized we were not after him, he finished hopping across the path to hide in the brush.

A tree root that I found interesting.

Alice and William were ready to go after only an hour.  And, as it turns out, the second half of the path is not accessible to the public. = (  So, we went back to the car to enjoy a packed lunch and waited while Billy, Emily and Grace explored the other route.   Apparently it also ends quickly.  = (

We used all three of them on our trip, which is really exciting!

I cannot wait until our next adventure!

22nd May, 70th Day of Quarantine, 43rd Day of School at Home

Today the high was a lower 64F than yesterday, and it was a chilly rainy spring morning.

I pushed William through his to-do list quickly.  Thankfully Friday is a catch-up day in his class, so he only had a tiny bit of math, piano and reading to knock out before his appointment.

At his 7 year check up, he had a 7 degree spine curve, so we had to go in for his 6 month scoliosis check.

The doctors are currently seeing patients outside, to help prevent contamination.  It as sprinkling during his appointment, thankfully they could hide under the cover of the back lift gate.

So, his spine has progressed into a 9 degree curve, which is sad, so we will continue on the 6 month check pattern.  His next one will be at his 8 year check up.  With his history of bone issues, this is not something that surprises her, and we will just continue to keep an eye on it.

I did have a moment of panic when the nurse weighed him at 9lbs less than our previous visit (that's a 25% decrease in weight!)  The doctor reweighed him, this time on a level surface, and he actually gained 5lbs since his last visit just a few months ago!  This is awesome and means that the protein shakes are doing their job. = )

When we got home, William was trying to find the tree that he had seen a the doctor's office in our new field guide!

Also, I got in the first wave of books that I ordered!

I put them all on our book trolley!  Our second trolley arrived, and Juliet helped me put it together.

I unenthusiastically completed the course I had started for my Teaching certificate.  The lesson itself wasn't bad, but since I didn't get to get started on it until after noon, most of my motivation was evaporated.

I also finished the 5 day series for the introduction to the kids' homeschool in the fall.  I watched this with slightly more vigor, but should have watched it earlier in the day, since I was so spent.

For dinner we enjoyed pizza from our local place, and watched Kim Possible as a nice end of day activity.

21st May, 69th Day of Quarantine, 42nd Day of School at Home

The high today was a sunny and pleasant 73F!

I spent a good chunk of time on the phone with my bank and Orkin, trying to resolve a double charge. The manager was supposed to call me back, but never did.

Schooling on Thursdays is pretty good, as the workload gets progressively lighter during the week, and my kids are pretty good at front-loading their week.

I ran to pick up some goodies from Deb's porch for our MOPS MAD night, and left a box for Hanna, since we failed to meet up at the park.

I spent some more hours on my teaching certification.  150 hours is so daunting, so I'm trying to push through while I have the motivation. = )  I like the new program well enough, but I am still disappointed that they removed all the 'free' courses from the Gateway platform.  In the new platform though, you can watch the videos at double speed which is way cool!

We also got in the field guide we were instructed to order for school in the fall, and it is so cool!  Emily, William and I spent some time outside trying to identify the plants in our yard.  We didn't find a perfect match for the tiny white flowers, so I'm not sure what they are, even now. We identified the bird that has nested on the backside of our carport: a house finch!

Sarah came by and mowed my lawn for me (score!) so now I don't have to worry about that for another week. = )  I also sent a bag of school supplies that is destined for the school to live in her basement until next October when school is well underway it will be welcomed instead of a burden.

Grace must have been MIA yesterday when we were building the trolley, because she didn't even know about it.  She had a good time pretending to be a doctor and passing out medicine (milk duds) and giving shots for sore throats...  At least I know these will get use even if we discontinue homeschooling!

We all contributed some names to a 'drawing' for what we should call our book trolleys.  Emily and Juliet submitted the winning names: "Candyland" and "Homework Trolley."  I wanted Holly & Molly, the book Trolleys. But I didn't win. = (

It was warm enough that the kids set up the slip and slide for some outdoor water fun!

For dinner we had PF Changs freezer sweet and sour chicken for the first time.  With the exception of the bag recommending only cooking one bag at a time (so i had to lengthen the cook times) I was very impressed and will buy it again!

Thursday night is the weekly meeting with the other parents in Alice's class.  Since MAD was right after, I tried setting up the webcam on my upstairs computer so that my phone wouldn't die during the meeting.  That computer was too old, so Billy moved up my CPU to use with the upstairs auxilaries.  I had to bring up speakers, then headphones since the speakers weren't loud enough.  Sadly, the wifi is just too slow, and I ended up at the parent meeting on my phone anyhow.

Thankfully, it was a short meeting, so I was able to return everything to it's proper place and re set my downstairs station before the MOPS event.

We played a little bit of a game, but mostly just enjoyed chatting.  It's so nice to not be in this alone!

Because of the double meeting, it was a quick group bedtime for my crew, and a slightly late bedtime for me.

Tomorrow William has a local doctor's appointment, and they will be coming out to the car??  So many new adventures!

20th May, 68th Day of Quarantine, 41st Day of School at Home

The expected high today is a sunny 66F.  The day started out pretty, hopefully it stays that way.

Worked on my certificate during another early morning.  Sarah had me convinced that my refrigerator had died when she brought over donuts & coffee! (yum!)

The kids were up early (eating their donuts.)

Grace/Juliet & Alice had meets back to back this morning.

The refrigerator repairman came, cleaned our filter, and told us nothing is wrong.

After he left I went to celebrate Jessica's birthday via drive by! woohoo!

Juliet helped me assemble our new book trolley.  It was smaller than expected, so I ordered a second one.

For dinner we had barbeque sandwiches.

All in all a good day.

19th May, 67th Day of Quarantine, 40th Day of School at Home

The high today was a rainy, breezy, chilly 66F.  We did get some sun right before sundown.

Today I woke up before my alarm, and worked on my teaching certification renewal.  I broke down and purchased a subscription to a CPE provider, for $100.  So, now I have one year to knock out my 150 hours.  I have some (maybe a third?) already, but need to finish the remainder before 2023.  But now, I will finish before May 19th 2021.

The kids worked diligently this morning.  Emily had some make up to work on, since she didn't successfully submit it.

For recess, and many hours after, Grace and Emily practiced bike riding along the sidewalk.

I knocked out my third day of homeschool introduction videos.  They are so good, and I should probably watch them before doing my certification lessons, because I'm pretty spent by the end of the day.

For dinner we had tacos.

I received the rolling cart I ordered 2 days ago from Sam's!  I wasn't expecting it for another few weeks, so it's arrival was not on my radar at all.

Today, I decided that blogging every day is just not a good use of my time, so I will attempt once a week.  Maybe making a post that I add the temperature and food to each day?  This everyday posting is just not working out for me.

Now, it is late, but still light out, so it's off to bed for my dear ones.

May 18th, 66th Day of Quarantine, 39th Day of School at Home

The high today was a rainy, cold 61F.

I mailed off the withdrawal form to the school district, certified mail, so I guess we are now officially homeschooling this fall!

Alice and Emily practiced their Peppa Pig song during piano time, so I snapped a video!

From there I dropped off a few liquor bottles to one of my busy moms, then went to Sarah's to drop recycling, and trade collected goods from the past week.  Seven was outside, so I actually got to give him a cheese stick!

I picked up my groceries in the rain, then got quite a bit of gas, after our Friday trip to Grand Rapids.

At home Billy had made lunch, and the kids were almost done with their school work.  I had to fight the three little ones to finish up!

I finished another hour of my CPE training, and the next installment of the homeschool introductory video.

For dinner we had shrimp scampi on a bed of rice.  It was so good.  Alice, Billy and I ate it up, the other three whined and moped a bit.

I ordered a few other items for our homeschool adventure.  A Michigan field guide and rolling cart for all of our books and papers and school supplies.

I also cleaned out most of my "school supply" area to make room for my new rolling cart.  That's where I currently keep snacks & sanitization products to send up to the school each week.  Well, now I won't be sending anything to teachers, so I integrated most of it and sent some of it over to Sarah's for Avia to take to church.  The rest I will take up to the school sometime in the fall.

May 17th, 65th Day of Quarantine

The high today was 61F.

After a digitally interrupted church service this morning, I spent a good portion of the day on my computer.

I managed 2 hours of my CPE for my Texas teaching certificate.  It doesn't expire until 2023, but I like to work on it long before that date, so I'm not so stressed about it's completion.

I watched the first introduction video for the homeschooling curriculum, and ordered a few more things for this fall.

We made "birthday cookies" for Uncle John.  Everyone approved as they wished him a long distance happy birthday!

Billy picked up Arby's for lunch, and we had a variety of leftovers for dinner.

And, a very sad part of my day, I filled out and addressed the withdrawal for the district.

Today was bath day, grocery ordering, and I managed a load or two of laundry too.

I think we have everything ready to go for tomorrow.

May 16th, 64th Day of Quarantine

The high today was 66F.

I woke up as the sun peeked over the horizon, at 5am.  I spent a while trying to reclaim my slumber, but at 7am decided to start the day.

I had a long to-do list, and knocked a good portion of it out before my children joined me downstairs!

I called the hospital tech hotline to get all of my children registered for their virtual appointment.  I called the warranty people about a 'sound' the refrigerator was making.  We fixed it over the phone (for now!)  I paid some bills.  I started to research the stack of books for the kids next year.  I ran some laundry, unloaded the dishwasher, made some breakfast and stored things away in the basement.

Once everyone was awake, I went on a hunt for some of the books in the free little libraries in the front of the schools in the district.

Starting with the kids' school made me particularly sad, as Alice will never return to that building as a student, and neither will Emily. = (

Despite checking 6+ boxes, I did not find anything from the list, but I did pick out some fun titles to add to our collection! = )

Since I had exhausted my cheap options, I headed home to order books.  I bought everything for both age groups (A/E & W/G/J) for the morning work and first term.  It was a tedious process, checking links, looking at freebies, digital versions, and physical copies on multiples sites.

I had to pause my searches to prepare Bueno Nachos for lunch, but then it was back to the search. Now I have a pile of books headed my way and a few downloads in my kindle queue.

Billy checked the weather and told me that we are expecting rain for the next several days. So, that meant that today had to be my lawn mowing day.

I enjoy riding around on my little lawn tractor once I actually mount it, but psyching myself up to get out there takes some doing. The rain clouds held off until I finished!

The requests for food came minutes after I came back in, so before I showered, I set everyone up.

Finishing another load of laundry, unloading the dishwasher, prepping shots, and catching upon  blogging were on the agenda before dinner.

For dinner it was a hodgepodge of leftovers.  Dessert was also sporadically offered.

Billy, Emily and I played a round of pandemic.  This time we won!

After an early morning, I am ready for bed!

May 15th, 63rd Day of Quarantine, 38th Day of School at Home

The high today was a lovely 71F!

On Fridays, it is mostly a catch-up day for the kids school work.  Since we've been able to complete assignments each day, this means it is an easy day for my dear ones.  Also, I eliminated piano practice, so that getting out the door would not be as stressful.

It has also been 6 weeks since the stuffed animals were banished to quarantine in the basement, and today was release day! Alice drug her feet, so we did not release them all before the trip, but William worked so quickly and diligently that I allowed him to pull out his favorite before we left.

Emily and I needed to leave around 10am, so I prepared Alice as well as I could for her 1:30 meeting. We finally got a webcam that is a plug and play into their computers.  It is amazing.  Their computers can run the virtual meetings soooooo much better than the old little laptop.

It rained on us most of the trip to Grand Rapids.  We saw some interesting sights, like a trailer that had come off of a semi and an ambulance in the median.  There is construction in Grand Rapids, so our exit had a detour.  Luckily we were running a little bit early, so we arrived on time.

You can read about Emily's appointment here.

When we arrived home it was pretty late, and almost time for dinner.

Alice made ravioli with alfredo sauce for dinner.  Everyone thought it was pretty tasty except for her (and me, but I don't care for pasta or alfredo.)

After dinner, Billy and I played some games that came in my MOPS date night bag.  Emily invited herself, and we had some fun conversations and a few giggles. = )

After our games I called my mom, to get her advice before purchasing the homeschool curriculum for next year.  She gave me the confidence to go ahead and buy it!  So, it looks like we will be a home schooling family come August!

Once I finished my online things for the evening, we bought the new Scooby Doo movie, Scoob!

We paused it, frequently, but it was really cute and we all enjoyed it. = )

It was a full, busy day, and our late bedtime was very welcomed!

later days

Emily's MRI

This is the latest post in the series of William, grace and Juliet's journey with hypophosphatasia. And now adding Emily to the list.

Today Emily had her MRI up in Grand Rapids.  The appointment wasn't until 11:30, so Emily had time to finish up her school work before we left.

The hospital was not as busy as it was before Corona, but busier than our previous trip.

We wore our masks, as required, but they had us swap for hospital masks upon entry?

In radiology we had a little bit of a wait.  Emily replied to her teacher (via snail mail,) then worked on some mind puzzles, then colored the back of some papers I had in my bag.

Once it was finally time to head back, she had to change into hospital garb and pick a movie to watch during the procedure.  I recommended one that she had seen, since she would not have time to finish it.  She picked Frozen. = )

I did my best to prepare her for the procedure, telling her that she would lie on a board that would slide into a giant 'donut' and it would be really loud.  When she saw the machine she said "it does look like a donut!"

They put on a headset and optical set so that she could watch the movie during her procedure.  I had to wait in the changing room (they did offer for me to go back to the waiting room, but it was further away.)

Once she was all done, we were good to go!  This was the longest I had worn a mask at any point since this started, so it felt good to take it off in the "safety" of my car!

Sonic was our next destination, since I needed something to look forward to about this trip.  We managed it in a short time, but with the interstate closure, traffic was truly traffic!  I felt like I was merging back on to beltway 8!

While we were waiting in the drive thru, the hospital called to let me know that the next endocrinology appointment will be virtual.  They gave me some instructions on how to enroll the kids (all 5 of them!) ahead of time.

I got another call, also from the hospital, letting me know that the doctor had reviewed Emily's scan and that everything looked normal.

It was a really nice surprise, since I figured we wouldn't hear anything for a while!

So, good news, it's probably not seizures, bad news, we still don't know what is going on with our Emily.
