Hometown Parade

Our little town hosts a parade to honor the fallen on Memorial day.  We walked down as a group, but before we even made it to the parade route, Juliet fell and scraped her hand.   We attempted to distract her from her anguish with a snow cone, but to no avail.  She and Billy walked back, while the rest of us enjoyed the sights.

William sported the hat from Mrs. Graham's son,

Emily picked out her outfit on Friday,

Alice was mostly about the candy, and Grace was just along for the ride.

There was a parade of tractors at the end, which I found both comical and appropriate.

It was a short event, but sweet and well done.  The weather couldn't have been more perfect.

What a sweet little community event.

Tonight, Grace was admiring my necklace.  It belonged to my grandmother, and somehow still smells like her, 7 years later.
