Earlier this month, we headed up to Grand Ledge to visit a park I'd heard good things about. Like everywhere else we seem to visit in Michigan, it is also right off of the Grand River.
We observed a family of frogs:
We stuck to the easy trails and paths, with the exception of the kids crossing the 'gorge' on a fallen tree. It was a steep climb, for us laymen, but fun.
In the forest, it was very temperate, but we still quickly drank the water we'd brought from the car after our hike.
It was a fun park to explore, and it turns out we didn't even make it to the namesake of the town! So, next time we will make sure we track over to the ledges.
