Easter!

It snowed on Easter.  It didn't stick, but it was cold, and there were definitely flakes falling.

My mom came over to help everyone get all gussied up for Easter service.  The kids had to draw straws to see who got to ride with Avia. Emily sweetly gave up her privilege for one of the twins, so Alice, Grace and Juliet rode with my mom.

The rest of us met up with them at Avia's church for breakfast.

After breakfast, they had a draw the tail on the bunny activity, while they hid the eggs upstairs.

Emily didn't want to be blindfolded, but stood in line so that she could get the candy treat. = )

Kids four and under hunted first.

There was a little more waiting while they set out the next round of eggs for the bigger kids.

William now poses for every.single.picture.

They had tons of eggs to find, and it seemed like everyone had a good time!

Ha! Caught him off guard. = )

After the hunt, and a nice service about doubting Thomas, we headed back to our little town for the local Lion's Club egg hunt.

Grace and Juliet did not want to hang out with the Easter Bunny, but were happy to play on the newly installed Fire Truck!

Tried for another picture of William:

Grace wanted a picture, but she kept telling me that her nose and hands hurt.  It was really chilly outside for their egg hunt!

After the hunt, everyone picked out one toy from the prize table, and Emily won a special prize basket on one of her eggs!  It was a very sweet (and quick) trip to the park, but they enjoyed it.

We came home and enjoyed a slow afternoon, and had beef roast with potatoes and carrots for dinner.
