Grace and Juliet's 4th Birthday Party

Yesterday we headed out to the roller rink to celebrate our favorite twins turning 4!

Juliet picked some funfetti cake mix and Grace picked out vanilla icing for their cupcakes. They also helped decorate them for their party!

The florescent lighting makes for pictures taken less than a second apart look quite different:

All laced up* and ready to skate!

"4 years old!"

The birthday girls.  The apparent disparity in their heights is only an illusion, created by their new roller skates from avia.

Billy and William got out on the floor, I did not.

When Jessica and her family arrived, we were excited all over again!

The boys having a very intense discussion:

The smallest skater, Jolene:

The air hockey table was a favorite among all the partiers!  I'm glad it was so near our party table.

Grace practicing human tug-boating

Emily and Jemma were fast friends. = )

They've been excited about this moment for days:

At the end of the party, the skating mascot gathers around all the party guests and tosses out free tickets!

He then comes around to say hi to the party guests.  As Billy put it, the twins are skeptical of anyone in a costume...

The same is not true for everyone else = )

A group picture**, after the cake, and ice cream and pizza and popcorn:

To date, this is my favorite party place.  I didn't feel rushed at all, and the service was phenomenal, considering how many parties they had going on!  We sure did miss the cousins though.

later days

*none of their skates actually have laces.  = )
**I asked Alice today why she was frowning.  Apparently she wanted to skate, not take a picture.

You can see their party invitations here, and see their party from last year here.
