This feels like a bit of a cop-out, but I think it's a start. I'll still check for messages, and look a notifications where I've been tagged. I also plan on continuing to post links to this blog = ) and other pictures that I might want to look back through in years to come. But no scrolling through advertisements and memes and clever (or funny) time consuming videos. Those don't bother me so much, but I know I'm going to miss reading people's personal adventure & life update posts!
My resolution this year isn't nearly as 'strong' as I'd like it to be. I wish that I could be strong enough to just completely and totally cut Facebook from my life. There are a few connections that I only have through Facebook (like some class pages for my children & my MOPS group) that purvey instantaneous important information that I just feel like I can't 'abandon.'*
Hopefully I can repurpose this time to spend time with my children, clean something, update my blog more frequently, cook something new, sew or read.
So, wish me luck, I hope that it's a big enough change to make a difference, but not so monumental that I can't do it. I would really like this for a lifestyle change. = )
later days
Footnote: If you have a blog that I could read up on or subscribe to too, I'd really like to intentionally keep up with you! Please tag me in a link or send me a message so that I can still enjoy reading about your life. = )
*there are tons of people without a facebook, or a facebook that they never use, so I'm certain I could live without it. We'll see how this year goes, maybe next year I can be totally free!!
