Down in Charlotte, there is a sign advertising a mystery train dinner ride. After some internet research, we found that it runs once a month. So, we planned a trip to try our hand at solving a murder mystery on a train!
We were seated with a couple who had ridden before. The gentleman was given a role for the mystery. His name was Enrique Estrada, and he was part of the Billionaire's club. He had a binder, and we read one page per round as we enjoyed our food. The information in the binder is what we could share with other passengers.
We were table #23!
We were given a note sheet, but it didn't have enough room to write everything down. My table let me do the note taking. = )
Billy and our other tablemate were chosen to do some 'acting' while the narrator narrated the scene. It was supposed to give us some clues. We were also given some cash to "bribe" people for information about the character at their table.
I had a pretty good idea who did it. My table was on board with my reasoning. On the paper, we had to give ourselves a team name and write up our solution.
Sadly, I was wrong. In fact, we were given the "Dead Last Place" award. Sad times. Though, I am consoled that they only gave out 3 awards and we earned one! ; )
Billy also received an award for his acting ability: "Watch out in the Dark." lol.
It was a really fun time, and the food was so good. Now I am super excited for our backyard mystery party next month.
later days
